The following terms and conditions are an integral part of your registration for participation in Wizz Air Skopje Marathon 2024:

1. About the race:
1 1 Name of event: Wizz Air Skopje Marathon 2024
1.2 The event will take place on October 6, 2024 at 8.00 a.m. The organizer reserves the right to change the date/time of the races and the prize fund if the conditions impose such changes.
1.3 Organizer of the race: Sport Union of Skopje, Athletic Club "Skopski Maraton", Athletic Club "Rabotnicki"
1.4 Official languages ​​of the race: Macedonian and English
1.5 Races: Marathon (42.194 m), Half marathon (21.097 m), Marathon relay - EU with you (10-11-10-11 km), 5 km race (5000 m)
1.6 The race has certificate from the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and is organized in compliance with the rules of World Athletics (WA)  and the Athletics Federation of North Macedonia
1.7 Any participant not observing the specified rules and not following the instructions of the organizers on the race day, shall not be allowed to start the race.
1.8 The race rules race apply to all participants and are an integral part of the race registration terms and conditions and by registering, the participant accepts the rights and obligations regulated under such rules.

2. Participants registration and responsibilities
2.1 The registration opens on March 28, 2024 at 09.00 and closes on September 20th 2024 at 23:59. Registration on the race day shall not be possible.
2.2 The registration price depends on the date of payment, not the date of registration. If you register by September 10th, your name will be printed on the start bib.
2.3 All participants registering and paying by August 29, 2024 will get a T-shirt in the start package, those registering after this date will not get a T-shirt.
2.4 You can amend/edit the registration free of charge by August 20 2024 through the link provided in your email confirmation. Following this deadline, the registration details can be changed only by paying MKD 250,00 to the organizers’ account 300000003225674 - Komercijalna Banka, requesting such change via email on: info@skopskimaraton.com.mk no later than September 15th 2024.
2.5 There is a limited number of participants for the races and the registration is closed at the moment such number of participants is reached, which may be before the deadline referred to in Article 2.1
2.6 The time limit for finishing the marathon, half marathon and marathon relay is 5 hours and 30 minutes, while for the 5 km race, it is 1 hour.
2.7 Each race participant is responsible for his/her fitness and health state for participation in the race.
2.8 Participants take part in the race at their own risk. The organizers shall not be held liable for any legal consequences in case of bodily injury, other health problems or death, damage to the participant’s equipment and gadgets, injury of a child in a pushchair.
2.9 The organizer is obliged to provide emergency medical care during the race.
2.10 By registering for the race, the participant agrees that the organizer may use their photos and videos taken during, immediately before and after the race, including for all types of advertising on radio, TV and the Internet, as well as for other advertising needs of the organizer.
2.11 Each registered participant shall run wearing their start bib assigned to them in the start package and no assignment of the number to another person is permitted, even if the participant cannot participate in the event for any reason whatsoever. Registration for the race is strictly personal. The participant acknowledges that all the information entered in the application form is correct. After registration, the participant is not entitled to a refund of the participation fee.
2.12 Participation in the race with a start number/bib assigned to another person represents grounds for disqualification.
2.13 In case of race rescheduling due to deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the country or due to other unforeseen circumstances, the fee shall not be refunded, and the registration will be valid for the next race.

3. Start packages
3.1 The start packages can be collected on October 4 and 5, 2024  and the location will be additionally announced by the organizer.
3.2 The price for the start package for the marathon and half marathon includes remuneration for the following activities: preparation and securing of the track (closing streets), refreshment points, timekeeping, medical team at start/finish zones, event management staff, personal belongings storage services during the race, toilets available at the start/finish line and along the track, start bib with a chip for timekeeping, a bag, a T-shirt (for payments made by August 29 2024), gifts from sponsors, medal for race participation, live results, e-diploma, trophies and diploma for the first three absolute winners and winners in categories, injury insurance, free photos.
3.3 The price for the start package for the 5K race includes remuneration for the following activities: preparation and securing of the track (closing streets), refreshment points, timekeeping, medical team at start/finish zones, event management staff, personal belongings storage services during the race, toilets available at the start/finish line and along the track, start bib with a chip for timekeeping, a bag, a T-shirt for each team member (for payments made by August 29 2024), gifts from sponsors, e-diploma, trophies and diploma for the first three absolute winners and winners in categories, injury insurance, free photos..
3.4 The marathon relay start package consists of one chip start bib (the starting number of the team that is delivered at each leg change) and 4 start bibs without chips for each team member. The price for the start package for the marathon relay race includes remuneration for the following activities: preparation and securing of the track (closing streets), refreshment points, timekeeping, medical team at start/finish zones, event management staff, personal belongings storage services during the race, toilets available at the start/finish line and along the track, start bib with a chip for timekeeping, a bag, a T-shirt for each team member (for payments made by August 29 2024), gifts from sponsors, medal for race participation, live results, e-diploma, trophies and diploma for the first three absolute winners and winners in categories, injury insurance, free photos.
3.5 The start package shall be collected in person, by presenting an identification document and/or the race registration certificate which can be presented in a printed or electronic form.
3.6 Collection of the start package for another participant is possible only with presentation of an identity document and/or a race registration certificate by the other participant.
3.7 In case you choose the starting package with the option for a refund (only available for marathon and half marathon race), in order to get a 100% refund, you have to send a request stating your start number, no later than September 10th 2024 to the following email address: info@skopskimaraton.com.mk

4. Race participation
4.1 Race participation is possible only with the start bib provided by the organizer.
4.2 The start bib shall be fastened to the front of the T-shirt and shall be visible at all times during the race and at the time of entry in the finish line.
4.3 There is a timer on the back of the start bib that you must not destroy (fold) in any way, otherwise your time will not be recorded.
4.4 In the marathon relay – “EU with you:, there are 3 categories of teams: men, women and mixed (mixed team is 2 men and 2 women)
4.5 Participation in only one race is permitted. If one of the participants or one of the relay team members registers and participates in two different races (example: relay marathon and marathon or half marathon or 5 km race) the participant and the team will be disqualified from all races. The results are available online during and after the race on the link that will be published by the organizer before the start of the race. An appeal against the results of the first three winners shall be filed within 30 minutes after the end of the race in writing to the official referees. The deadline for filing a complaint regarding the remaining results shall be within 24 hours as from the end of the race, only by e-mail. After the expiry deadline for appeals, the results become official.

5. Star zones
5.1 Participants in the marathon and half marathon at the start will be grouped in 4 start boxes according to the target time they choose during the registration process. The participants in the marathon relay and the 5 km race will be grouped in special starting zones marked in the start zone with the name of the race displayed.
The marathon target times are as follows:
Box 1 - below 3:10:00 target time
Box 2 - 3:11:00 - 3:30:00 target time
Box 3 - 3:31:00 - 4:00:00 target time|
Box 4 – over 4:01:00 target time
The half-marathon target times are as follows:
Box 1 - below 1:40:00 target time
Box 2 - 1:41:- 1:50:00 target time
Box 3 - 1:51:00 - 2:00:00 target time
Box 4 - over 2:01:00 target time
5.2 If you do not choose a target time during the registration process, you will be grouped in box 4. Your starting box will be marked on the start bib and you will not be able to enter another target starting box.

6. Permitted and non-permitted equipment
6.1 No use of roller skates, scooters, bicycles or other wheeled aids is permitted in the race. Exceptions are made for people with limited mobility who cannot move without aids.
6.2 All race participants take part in it independently.
6.3 Participation of runners with a child in a pushchair or a wheelchair is permitted with prior notice to the organizer, they stand at the last rows of the start line.
6.4 The participants are allowed to participate in the race with a dog on a leash, with the prior notice to the organizer, they stand at the last rows of the start line.
6.5 Listening to music with headphones is not recommended during the race for safety reasons. One ear shall be free so that you can hear all the instructions/ sounds/ ambulance siren during the race.

7. Sportsmanlike conduct
7.1 All participants shall listen for the instructions of the organizer or representatives of the organizer at all times, on the track and in the start/finish zones.
7.2 All participants shall behave in a sportsmanlike manner and observing the fair play riles at all times and they shall treat other participants, spectators and the organizer with due respect.
7.3 Failure to comply with the rules of sportsmanlike conduct may result in a penalty or disqualification in accordance with the decision of the Organizing Committee.

8. Change of rules
8.1 The Organizer reserves the right to change the rules, terms and conditions of the races and the prize fund if the conditions so require.
8.2 In case of changes and amendments to the rules, the organizer will publish them on its website and its Facebook page.
