Even though the marathon preparations with our patrons, partners and sponsors last all year long, and although you runners just like we do, are getting ready for your favorite race, nevertheless, there are things we can’t control in certain situations, but we believe that this will end up being a win-win situation which will we jointly overcome. As a result of the deterioration of the situation with the Corona virus, COVID-19, both in our country and worldwide, but also for the purposes of following the measures taken by our Government and all its authorities and the recommendations of the World Health Organization, the Sports Union of Skopje as the organizer of Wizz Air Skopje Marathon, which was planned for May 10th 2020, decided to postpone the race for October 4th 2020.
All registrations remain valid for the new date, but if any of the registered runners is prevented from participating in the race on such new date, the following options will be offered:
– Transfer of the existing registration to another runner for October 4th 2020,
– Cancellation of registration for 2020 and free registration for 2021,
– Cancellation of registration for 2020 and participation in the Virtual Online Race 2020.
All of these options will be available by July 31th 2020 via the registration portal www.smartrace.club. All details will be explained directly to each participant by sending an email in next days with specific instructions on how to choose the most suitable option in case they cannot participate on October 4th 2020.
Registration remains open until September 10th 2020.
